I bring a genuine, real-life experience to all of my work engagements. People can relate to my stories since they are relevant, unique, and based on my own experience. Add to the mix a high dose of creativity, energy, and my ability to deeply connect with people.

Recognised and Qualified Coach

In 2018 I became the first Scrum Alliance Certified Team Coach® (CTC®) in Eastern Europe and currently, I am the only one in Romania. However, this guide-level certification is not yet another certification obtained after 2 days of training! It took me 15 months to achieve, and during the process, the reviewers validated over 10 years of my experience with Agile.


In my constant learning journey, I have and continue to acquire coaching-oriented learning and demonstrated professional coaching skills at the ICF-PCC level. For the time being, I am trained in Co-Active Coaching and Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC). I also have the knowledge and applied other professional coaching frameworks or practices.


Did you know that coaching is different than consulting and training? Unfortunately, most people who call themselves Agile Coaches don't have a coaching mindset and lack professional coaching skills. They think that coaching is the same as consulting and training and use the terms interchangeably. Don't fall into this trap!

For agile transformation to be successful and sustainable, a properly trained and vetted Agile Coach can make all the difference. Organisations that chose to work with me experienced team-level transformational success across multiple teams. Moreover, I have experience at the enterprise level too, such as partnering with the Executive level and transforming multiple functions, business divisions, or enterprises (not "just" software development; e.g., marketing, HR).

I am an enthusiastic and energetic Agile Coach with over 10 years of practicing Agile (out of over 20 years in total of project management experience). I have successfully aided organisations in their agile journey to adopt or improve their use of Scrum and other agile frameworks in troubled and new projects. Companies that benefited from my coaching services were of various sizes, from start-ups to multinationals, with diverse backgrounds such as public transport, rail, IT (infrastructure and software development), banking, and telecommunications.

Community and Connection

Volunteering

I thrive in teams! 

For that reason, I volunteered on the European Gathering Team (EUGT) for planning Global SCRUM GATHERING® Vienna 2019 (the biggest Scrum event in Europe with over 1000 participants) and Global SCRUM GATHERING® Lisbon 2020 and 2022. I am also a member of the CTC Review Team where I evaluate CTC candidates' readiness and provide valuable feedback: I share identified gaps and suggestions on how to address those gaps. In 2013 I was a Beta Tester for an Agile e-Learning course titled PMI-ACP Exam Prep Online.

Hence, it feels natural to me to give back to people and help them maximise their potential. Some examples include:

Who am I?

Participation and Leadership in the Agile Community

Internal community participation is helpful, but not sufficient. Therefore, my community participation and leadership occur outside of my current organisation as well. On top of volunteering, continued growth, and giving back, some more examples are:

  • I am the founder of the first Scrum Alliance User Group in Romania called Agile Coaching and Beyond

  • Presentations and Open Space sessions at Agile Coach Camp Romania, Germany, and the Czech Republic

  • Attendance of major global events to constantly keep myself up-to-date and further develop my knowledge and skill

  • Coaching Clinic volunteer

  • Frequent speaker at major global events
